The Institute of Aviation Studies (IAS) organized an industrial visit to Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Center on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
PITAC offers design and manufacture production tooling located at Ferozpure Road Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
The following ambassadors from different Departments of UMT paid a visit to PITAC.

The visit commenced with a presentation by the Assistant Director Training Saif Ullah Khan of PITAC which focused on the company’s introduction, its growth rate, and overall performance status.
During the visit, Mr. Saif Ullah gave the detailed introduction of the PITAC domains and overall facilities provided by the PITAC. PITAC provides the Technical Assistance in the following manufacturing disciplines.
• Precision Machining • Precision Grinding • Inspection of Gauges & Machine Tools & CMM Inspection
• Plastic Mold Design, Manufacturing and Injection Molding • Press Tools Design and Manufacturing
• 3D CAD/CAM & Modeling • Heat Treatment and Welding • Prototype Manufacturing & Reserve Engineering
The UMT Faculty and students got real-time experience in various sections, and the visit's main objective was to understand the working applications of common facilities in metal working, casting, heat treatment, electroplating, surface treatment, designing and manufacturing of machine elements and reverse engineering to light engineering sector.
The visit proved to be highly beneficial for the faculty and students of UMT. All in all, it was an innovative, groundbreaking step toward sustainable development.
