The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) is proud to share the remarkable achievement of the Students and Faculty from the Department of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology (AMET), Institute of Aviation Studies (IAS), on winning First Prize in the “Research Showcase” category of the Aerospace Hackathon 2023, which was held in Islamabad on August 9th to 10th, 2023.
This event was organized by the National Incubation Center for Aerospace Technologies (NICAT) at the newly built National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) complex. Different teams from various universities and institutes participated in the event, including Three groups of UMT students along with their projects. The details are as follows:

Project Name: 3D Printed Operational Miniature Gas Turbine Engine (This project is funded and supported by ORIC-UMT and declared WINNER, along with a cash prize of PKR 25,000/-).
